Recent polls for New Zealand’s November 2026 general election show National and Labour locked near 30% each in party vote averages, leaving NZ First, the Greens, ACT, and the surging Opportunity Party clustered in single digits. Latest surveys indicate NZ First slipping several points amid Christopher Luxon’s leadership tensions while the Greens hold steadier around 10–12%, keeping both parties positioned to finish third depending on final turnout and threshold dynamics. Opportunity’s rise above 5% in multiple August readings adds volatility by drawing from smaller parties and potentially altering seat allocations under MMP rules. Trader consensus reflects these narrow polling margins and the absence of decisive momentum shifts in the final months.
