The first round of the 2026 midterm Georgia Senate election will be held on November 3, 2026. A candidate may win the election “outright” in the first round by winning more than 50% of the valid votes in the first round. This market will resolve to “Yes” if any candidate wins the 2026 midterm Georgia Senate election outright in the first round. Otherwise, it will resolve to “No”. If the results of the first round of the specified election are not known definitively by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "No". This market will resolve based on the results of this election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the Georgia Senate election.**Recent polling in the 2026 Georgia Senate race shows Democratic incumbent Jon Ossoff holding a modest but consistent lead over Republican nominee Mike Collins, with averages placing Ossoff near or slightly above 50 percent.** Multiple July surveys, including Fox News (Ossoff 56 percent), AARP (52 percent), and others ranging from 47–56 percent, reflect this positioning roughly two months before the November 3 general election. Georgia law requires a majority for an outright win; otherwise, the top two advance to a December 1 runoff. These results, combined with Ossoff’s incumbency advantage and the absence of major late-breaking disruptions since the Republican primary runoff concluded in June, underpin trader expectations that one candidate—most likely the incumbent—will clear 50 percent. The 84.5 percent implied probability for an outright winner in the first round aligns with this polling consensus and the structural incentives in a two-candidate general election. Scheduled events such as fall debates or additional polling releases could still shift margins, but current data indicate limited volatility favoring a runoff scenario.
