Incumbent Republican Rich McCormick faces Democrat Tony Kozycki in the November 3, 2026, general election for Georgia’s 7th congressional district after both parties completed their nomination processes. McCormick advanced unopposed in the Republican primary, while Kozycki prevailed in the Democratic runoff on June 16 following a fragmented May primary. The solidly Republican district and two-candidate general-election matchup create conditions under which one nominee is expected to secure a majority of the vote on election night. Georgia election rules trigger a runoff only if no candidate reaches 50 percent, a threshold the current candidate field and partisan lean make unlikely to be missed. Trader consensus at 94 percent reflects these resolved primaries, limited vote-splitting risk, and historical performance patterns in comparable districts.
