Sánchez’s minority government has so far survived because the center-right PP and far-right Vox lack the absolute majority needed to pass a formal no-confidence motion without backing from regional parties such as Junts, which have so far declined to support an outcome that could empower the right. Recent migration pressures at Ceuta have added to domestic criticism, yet Sánchez has ruled out early elections before the term ends in 2027, and no binding motion has advanced. Traders weigh these parliamentary arithmetic constraints and the absence of coalition realignments against the ongoing scandals when assessing timelines for any successful challenge.
