Recent National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus point to a moderate high near 78–80°F for Los Angeles on September 6, driven by onshore northwest flow, a 60% chance of morning showers transitioning to possible afternoon thunderstorms, and associated cloud cover that limits peak solar heating. Marine influence from the Pacific and typical early-September climatology further moderate temperatures, consistent with recent days’ mid- to upper-70s readings at LAX and historical averages around 76–77°F. Traders weigh the precise timing and coverage of precipitation—key variables that could shift the daily maximum by a few degrees—against any late clearing that might allow brief warming toward the upper end of the leading bins. Updated model runs and NWS briefings today will refine these resolution thresholds.
