Persistent high pressure and clear skies over North Texas are driving the tight clustering around an 78–83°F overnight low for Dallas on September 5, with trader consensus favoring 80–81°F. Southerly winds advecting Gulf moisture, combined with elevated dew points near 70°F, limit radiative cooling despite minimal cloud cover, keeping minimum temperatures well above the 1991–2020 climatological average of 73.8°F. Recent model runs show only modest spread in boundary-layer mixing and wind speeds, producing the observed market balance between 78–79°F and 82–83°F bins. Updated National Weather Service guidance tonight will refine the exact minimum before resolution.
