Recent National Weather Service and private model consensus points to a highest temperature near 89–90°F in Miami on September 6, driven by typical early-September subtropical conditions with daytime highs near the 1991–2020 average of 89.8°F and afternoon sea-breeze convergence favoring scattered thunderstorms. These storms, expected to develop after peak heating, introduce modest uncertainty by potentially suppressing the daily maximum through cloud cover or localized cooling. Recent observations show a brief warm spell with a 93°F reading on September 3, yet guidance indicates a slight moderation under light southwesterly flow and high humidity that elevates heat indices above 100°F. Traders have priced 90–91°F as the clear favorite at 52.5% implied probability, reflecting this stable forecast envelope ahead of the next model cycle.
