Capitão Contar leads the market for second place in the Mato Grosso do Sul Senate election at 63.5% implied probability, reflecting his consistent second-place standing in the latest available polling from mid-August. A Ranking poll released August 14 showed Reinaldo Azambuja ahead at 30-34% while Contar registered 20-25%, ahead of Vander Loubet, Soraya Thronicke, and the rest of the field. Recent candidate registration deadlines and party conventions have locked in the slate without major shifts from endorsements or debates that would alter this ordering. Lower probabilities for Vander Loubet, Soraya, and trailing names align with their single-digit to low-double-digit support and limited recent momentum. With the October 4 vote still weeks away, the pricing captures trader assessments of current vote intention and the absence of late-breaking developments capable of reordering the top contenders.
