Forecast models from the National Weather Service and private sources indicate a Friday minimum in San Francisco around 58–60 °F, driven by a strengthening marine layer and persistent onshore westerly flow that limits radiative cooling overnight. Recent early-September warmth, including a 94 °F high on the 9th, has given way to this moderating pattern as high pressure builds offshore and allows stratus to return. Historical September lows average near 56 °F, but current guidance shows limited overnight clearing and steady 10–20 mph winds that support the market’s heaviest volume on the 60–61 °F bin. Updated model runs overnight and any shift in the marine inversion strength will be the next key inputs before resolution.
