Official National Weather Service forecasts for downtown Los Angeles project a high near 96°F today under sunny skies, supported by an extreme heat warning and persistent high-pressure subsidence that has driven recent inland readings into the upper 90s and beyond. This aligns with the market's leading 94°F-or-higher outcome at 38% implied probability, while coastal LAX readings near 89°F anchor the 90-93°F bins. The deviation from the September 10 climatological average of roughly 77°F reflects ongoing warm advection and minimal marine influence, though exact official readings can vary by station and timing of peak heating. Updated model guidance later today could refine the final high.
