Recent forecasts from MetService and aligned models indicate mostly fine conditions for Wellington on September 11, with southerlies shifting northwest and limited cloud cover supporting daytime warming. Official guidance centers on a high near 14°C, yet the market's strong weighting toward 15°C reflects expectations that peak readings at urban or airport stations could edge higher amid typical spring variability and measurement timing. Historical early-September averages hover around 13–14°C, with rare excursions above 16°C under similar setups. Updated model runs and any late adjustments to wind or insolation will likely determine whether the outcome settles at 14°C or 15°C before resolution.
