Recent model consensus from GFS and similar runs points to a frontal passage bringing cloud cover, showers, and southwesterly flow that limits daytime heating in Paris on September 8, favoring a peak near 23–24 °C. This aligns with the market’s heaviest weighting on those outcomes amid broader uncertainty. Key variables include exact rain timing, which can suppress maximum temperatures by several degrees, and the strength of the incoming low-pressure system that may enhance mixing or delay clearing. Ensemble spreads remain notable for a two-day horizon, while the long-term September 8 average high of 22.6 °C provides climatological context. Traders appear to price in this transitional pattern rather than any lingering warmth from the prior weekend’s 30 °C readings.
