Recent forecasts from the India Meteorological Department and global models indicate a highest temperature in Lucknow on September 6 most likely in the 30–32°C range, driven by widespread monsoon cloud cover, high humidity near 80–90%, and a 70–95% probability of thunderstorms that limit solar heating and promote evaporative cooling. These conditions align with the market’s strong implied probability for 31°C as the peak, consistent with observed maxima near 32°C in early September and typical late-monsoon steering patterns. Model consensus shows limited upward potential beyond 32°C absent clearer skies, while downside risk to 29°C or below remains low given persistent warmth and dew points above 25°C. Updated IMD briefings and refined model runs expected later today will further refine resolution thresholds.
