Recent National Weather Service and WeatherBug forecasts for Houston on September 5 project a high in the low 90s°F amid humid conditions with dew points near 75°F and a 50% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Light steering winds and abundant tropical moisture favor scattered convective activity that could limit daytime heating through cloud cover and evaporative cooling, keeping peaks near 90–92°F. Clearer morning periods might allow brief spikes toward 93°F if storms develop later, while widespread rain would cap readings closer to 90°F. Market-implied odds reflect this narrow range, with traders weighing model consensus on timing and coverage of convection against historical late-summer baselines around 91–93°F. Updated NHC and local radar trends through midday will refine the outcome.
