Official National Weather Service forecasts for Austin-Bergstrom International Airport call for a high near 97°F on September 5 under mostly sunny skies with light southeast winds, aligning with the near-even market split between the 96-97°F and 98-99°F bins. Model consensus shows minimal precipitation risk and stable atmospheric conditions, though minor variations in afternoon cloud cover or boundary-layer mixing could shift the peak by 1–2°F. This range sits above the 1991–2020 climatological average of 93.6°F, reflecting persistent late-summer warmth, while heat-index values near 102°F highlight humidity’s role without altering the dry-bulb temperature resolution criteria.
