Independents will not count towards any party. This market will resolve based on the results of the elections, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. In the case of ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on the results as reported by the Zambian government. The market's near-even pricing around 50% across multiple parties reflects a fragmented contest for National Assembly control ahead of the 2026 vote, with UPND holding a narrow implied edge amid balanced assessments of incumbency advantages and opposition prospects. Economic conditions, regional voting patterns, and candidate selection processes appear to be sustaining the tight consensus among traders. Separation could emerge from upcoming campaign milestones, polling shifts in key constituencies, or developments in coalition talks that consolidate support behind one grouping over rivals.
