**The 50/50 market on whether Team Rocket's Moltres ex Ultra-Premium Collection prices rise or fall by August 31 reflects a classic pre-release standoff in the Pokémon TCG sealed market.** Current secondary prices hover around $330–$345 on platforms like TCGPlayer, with recent daily swings between roughly $333 and $345 amid low trading volume. Hype stems from the popular Team Rocket branding, the standout Moltres ex promo (available in multiple rarities), and typical early speculation for a November 2026 release expected near $120–$160 MSRP. Counterbalancing this are historical patterns where Ultra Premium Collections (UPCs) often peak on anticipation then correct as supply ramps up closer to launch, similar to recent Charizard and other premium drops. Broader factors include competing 2026 releases like 30th Celebration UPCs and Mega Evolution products, plus scalper dynamics at retailers like GameStop. With the event still months away and no major new content reveals imminent, traders see equal odds of short-term momentum from collector demand versus a modest pullback. A surprise announcement, strong social buzz, or wider TCG market shift could break the deadlock before month-end.
