Recent trader sentiment on the Mega Gengar ex Special Illustration Rare from Ascended Heroes reflects a near-even split, with a slight lean toward a price dip by August 31 driven by steady high valuations near $1,085–$1,108 ungraded amid broader Pokémon TCG market cooling. Strong collector demand for the chase card has kept it elevated since release, yet August product drops—including new tins featuring Ascended Heroes pulls—introduce fresh supply that historically pressures secondary prices short-term. Volatility remains tied to raw sales volume and grading trends, with no major tournament or promotional catalyst confirmed to boost momentum before month-end. A decisive uptick would require sustained secondary market strength or unexpected hype, while further listings or weaker demand could push resolution lower.
