Recent National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus indicate an overnight low in the upper 60s to low 70s Fahrenheit for New York City on September 17, driven by a persistent warm, humid southerly flow and partly to mostly cloudy skies that limit radiative cooling. This setup follows several days of above-normal temperatures, with Central Park lows in the mid-to-upper 60s recently, keeping minimum readings elevated relative to seasonal norms. Market-implied probabilities center on 70-71°F as the modal outcome, reflecting the tight clustering of guidance around that range amid low uncertainty in the short-term forecast. Official observations from Central Park or area airports will resolve the market once the full 24-hour period concludes.
