**Yashar, the centrist party led by former IDF chief Gadi Eisenkot, has risen steadily in opinion polls ahead of Israel's October 27, 2026 legislative election, frequently polling in the low-to-mid 20s and often tying or edging Likud.** Recent surveys from Channel 12, Maariv, and others place it between 21-25 seats, reflecting voter focus on security accountability after October 7, national service requirements, and government reform. The party's gains have come partly at the expense of other opposition lists, while Likud has declined amid coalition strains and war-related fatigue. Fragmentation among smaller right-wing and centrist parties, including threshold risks for groups like Zionist Home and Religious Zionism, keeps seat projections volatile and contributes to the market's tight clustering around 20-23 seats. Upcoming list finalization deadlines and any late mergers or shifts in turnout among undecided voters could widen or narrow Yashar's range before election day.
