PL maintains a leading position in trader assessments for the October 4 Chamber of Deputies election due to its status as the largest current caucus with roughly 98 seats, bolstered by an established national network, candidate recruitment strength, and alignment with right-wing presidential contender Flávio Bolsonaro. The open-list proportional representation system favors parties with deep state-level infrastructure and name recognition consolidated since 2022. UPB, holding around 100 seats as a key centrão bloc, trails in implied probability amid competition from other center-right groups. Recent presidential polling, showing a competitive race between incumbent Lula and Bolsonaro-aligned candidates, has reinforced expectations of sustained right-wing legislative momentum, though smaller parties remain marginal given the 2% threshold and scale limitations.
