This market will resolve according to the winner of the 2026 midterm Nebraska U.S. Senate election, inclusive of any run-offs. A candidate shall be considered to represent a party in the event that he or she is the nominee of the party in question. Candidates other than the Democratic or Republican nominee (e.g., Greens, Libertarian, independent) may be added at a later date. Candidates who run as independents will not be encompassed by the “Democrat” or “Republican” options regardless of any affiliation they may have with the party. The resolution source for this market is the Associated Press, Fox News, and NBC. This market will resolve once all three sources call the race for the same candidate. If all three sources haven’t called the race in this state for the same candidate, this market will resolve based on the official certification.Incumbent Republican Pete Ricketts holds a clear lead in trader pricing for the 2026 Nebraska Senate race because of the state's consistent Republican tilt, his primary victory with more than 81 percent of the vote in May, and the structural advantages of incumbency after his 2023 appointment and 2024 special election win. The contest has narrowed to a head-to-head matchup following Democratic nominee Cindy Burbank's July withdrawal, which consolidated non-Republican support behind independent Dan Osborn, a former union leader who came within seven points of Sen. Deb Fischer in 2024. Recent polling averages show Ricketts ahead by roughly four to six points, producing implied probabilities that align with the current market consensus while leaving room for shifts driven by turnout among independents and late-cycle dynamics before the November general election.
