Forecast models from the National Weather Service indicate Chicago's September 13 low will likely settle in the upper 50s to low 60s under northwest winds and clearing skies after scattered afternoon showers, with radiational cooling rates moderated by residual cloud cover and urban heat island effects. Trader sentiment clusters tightly around 53–61°F because model guidance shows modest divergence on overnight minimums, driven by variable wind speeds and the precise timing of any late-day fronts. Historical September averages near 60°F provide a baseline, yet this event's outcome hinges on real-time observational updates from Chicago-area stations rather than longer-range projections.
