Recent polls ahead of Israel’s October 27, 2026 Knesset election project Likud at roughly 21–27 seats, reflecting sustained erosion of support since the October 2023 Hamas attack and the subsequent multi-front conflicts. The party’s August 17 primaries, which elevated Eli Cohen to the top slot while Netanyahu consolidated influence over roughly one-third of the list, represent an effort to broaden appeal beyond the religious-right base, yet internal tensions and competition from Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar party have kept projections volatile. Trader consensus around the 20–29 seat bands captures this uncertainty, driven by coalition arithmetic shortfalls, ultra-Orthodox draft disputes, and shifting security conditions that could either consolidate right-wing voters or accelerate losses to centrist alternatives. Late-campaign developments in Gaza, Hezbollah, or Iran policy remain the clearest potential catalysts for separation.
