This setup aligns with early-September climatology, where the long-term average high near downtown or LAX hovers around 77°F. Traders have concentrated probability on the 74–79°F range because ensemble consistency shows limited deviation risk absent a shift in steering patterns or stronger offshore flow. Minor upward adjustments in some runs reflect typical diurnal warming potential, while the low odds above 80°F capture the chance of reduced marine influence. Updated model runs and NHC-adjacent coastal observations over the next 48 hours remain the key near-term catalysts.
