The August 11 primaries confirmed JoCasta Zamarripa as the Democratic nominee and Jay Schroeder as the Republican nominee for the open Wisconsin Secretary of State seat on November 3. Zamarripa, a Milwaukee alderperson and former state representative, ran unopposed in her primary, while Schroeder prevailed in a four-candidate Republican field by emphasizing election administration reforms. With no incumbent and the office holding limited current duties, trader consensus reflects Wisconsin's status as a battleground state and historical patterns in down-ballot contests. Pete Karas also advanced on the Green Party line, though the contest centers on the major-party matchup. No major polling or campaign developments have emerged since the primaries to shift positioning.
