Therese Terlaje secured the Democratic nomination after narrowly defeating Lt. Gov. Joshua Tenorio in the August 1 primary, positioning her as the frontrunner in a territory with a consistent Democratic advantage in recent gubernatorial contests. Vicente Ada advanced comfortably on the Republican side following his primary win, yet faces structural headwinds as the GOP nominee. Recent candidate forums have highlighted shared priorities on economic development, childcare costs, and public health, but trader pricing aligns with historical patterns favoring Democrats in Guam's general elections. The November 3 contest remains the key resolution trigger, with limited late-cycle shifts reported so far.
