James Talarico holds the leading position in trader assessments for Tarrant County in the 2026 Texas U.S. Senate race, reflecting his competitive statewide polling edge in key demographics and substantial fundraising advantage that supports heavy advertising in suburban markets. Recent surveys show the Democrat drawing strong support from independents and Hispanic voters in the county, where primary turnout patterns and shifting voter coalitions have narrowed traditional Republican margins. Ken Paxton’s lower probability stems from lingering questions over past legal matters and weaker campaign resources compared with his opponent, despite his primary victory and base consolidation. Minor candidates and the “other” category reflect limited differentiation in local projections, while the overall contest remains sensitive to turnout dynamics in this battleground county ahead of November voting.
