Recent forecast guidance from the Finnish Meteorological Institute and ensemble models highlights a mild southerly flow bringing maximum temperatures of 17–19 °C to Helsinki on September 8, with 18 °C emerging as the most probable peak under partly cloudy skies and light rain chances. This aligns with climatological norms for early September, when daily highs average near 16.7 °C, and reflects the absence of stronger high-pressure ridging or cold-air advection that could shift outcomes lower. Trader consensus, reflected in the 44.5 % implied probability for 18 °C versus 23 % for 17 °C and 16 % for 19 °C, incorporates the narrow uncertainty range typical of short-range numerical weather prediction two days ahead, while the modest odds on 20 °C or higher account for possible brief warming under clearer breaks. Updated model runs and official briefings on the 7th and 8th will further refine these market-implied odds.
