Incumbent Democrat Suzan DelBene holds a commanding position in Washington's 1st congressional district heading into the November 3, 2026 general election, following her strong performance in the August 4 top-two primary where she secured over half the vote against Republican Mary Silva. The district's consistent Democratic voting patterns, reflected in its partisan lean and historical margins, underpin trader consensus around the party's prospects. DelBene's long tenure and prior reelection results further reinforce this positioning, with no major recent developments such as scandals, polling shifts, or candidate withdrawals altering the landscape. A realistic challenge would require an unforeseen national Republican wave, significant personal or campaign issues for the incumbent, or unusually high turnout favoring the challenger—factors that have not materialized in recent cycles.

A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
