The 2026 Prague municipal elections, set for early October, feature a fragmented field where the mayor emerges from post-election coalition talks rather than direct popular vote. Tomáš Portlík leads at 37% amid SPOLU's established local networks across districts, while Petr Hlaváček (STAN) and Tereza Nislerová (Pirates) sit near 25-26% as incumbents from the outgoing SPOLU-STAN-Pirates alliance under Bohuslav Svoboda. ANO's late switch from Ondřej Prokop to Jan Hušbauer after reported irregularities, plus weaker polling for SPD's Milan Urban and Motorists' Klára Sovová, caps those options. Recent surveys highlight low name recognition and mixed favorability for most contenders, with no bloc projected near a majority. This sustains tight pricing, as traders weigh coalition math, turnout patterns in key districts, and any late campaign shifts on housing, transport, or urban planning.
