Incumbent Democrat Betty McCollum, serving since 2001 and recently renominated in the August 11, 2026 primary, anchors the strong trader consensus favoring the Democratic Party in Minnesota’s 4th Congressional District. The Saint Paul-centered seat carries a pronounced Democratic lean, reflected in McCollum’s consistent double-digit margins and the district’s partisan voting index. Limited Republican opposition and the absence of competitive polling or fundraising signals from challengers reinforce the current market positioning ahead of the November 3 general election. Late developments such as a major scandal, health-related withdrawal, or an unanticipated national partisan wave could still alter the trajectory, though historical patterns in this district indicate substantial structural barriers to an upset.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
