Traders see nearly even odds between 74-75°F and 76-77°F as NYC’s September 14 high because short-range ensemble forecasts show tight clustering around those thresholds with modest spread from model differences in boundary-layer mixing and afternoon cloud cover. The National Weather Service and global models such as the GFS and ECMWF indicate a weak frontal boundary approaching from the northwest, which could either limit insolation or allow brief clearing that pushes readings one or two degrees higher. Historical September climatology for Central Park places average highs near 75°F, providing context for the current outlook. New model runs and updated NWS guidance expected later today will likely narrow the range before resolution.
