Incumbent Olivia Chow holds a commanding position in the October 26, 2026, Toronto mayoral race, backed by recent polling that shows her leading Brad Bradford by double digits among decided voters. Latest surveys place her near 50 percent support compared with Bradford in the high 30s and Chris Alexander around 10 percent. Chow’s incumbency since the 2023 by-election, combined with voter familiarity, underpins her market dominance despite earlier summer polls that narrowed her margin and highlighted dissatisfaction over affordability, transit, property taxes, and public safety. The first full debate on September 14 featured direct exchanges on shelters, TTC security, and city spending, yet subsequent data indicate Chow has stabilized her lead while opposition remains split. Bradford’s councillor record and Alexander’s federal background have not translated into broader momentum ahead of the vote.
