Recent Swedish opinion polls show Miljöpartiet and Kristdemokraterna trading narrow leads in the low-to-mid single digits ahead of the September 13, 2026, parliamentary election, keeping their projected vote totals closely aligned within the broader red-green opposition and Tidö governing blocs. Fluctuations in support for these smaller parties reflect shifting voter priorities on environmental policy, family and values issues, and overall bloc performance amid a left-leaning national trend. KD has posted modest recent gains in some surveys while MP maintains steady backing near 6-7 percent, sustaining competitive balance. Developments such as coalition negotiations, economic indicators, or targeted campaign events in the final weeks could alter turnout or preferences enough to shift the implied probability either direction.
