Current National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble models project overnight lows in the upper 70s to near 80°F for Houston on September 12 under continued southerly flow, high humidity, and scattered thunderstorm chances that limit radiative cooling. These conditions align with late-summer climatology where daily minima average around 73–74°F but recent patterns show elevated readings. The near-even market split between sub-72°F and 90°F+ outcomes reflects trader uncertainty over potential forecast shifts from stronger frontal passages or model divergence in steering patterns, while middle bins price lower amid expectations of typical Gulf moisture retention. Upcoming NHC and local model updates through resolution will clarify any rapid changes.
