The mayoral contest in Langley Township, BC, centers on incumbent Eric Woodward of the Progress for Langley slate facing challenger Jay Lundgren of Langley Strong, with nominations closing September 11 ahead of the October 17 vote. Trader consensus at 57% for Woodward and 41.5% for Lundgren reflects the competitive slate matchup and limited public polling so far in the campaign period that begins September 19. Key factors keeping probabilities tight include ongoing debates over municipal debt levels, infrastructure priorities, and growth management, alongside the parallel council races that could influence overall voter alignment. No major late developments have shifted momentum, leaving room for candidate visibility, local endorsements, or issue-focused events to create separation before advance voting starts in early October.
