Official forecasts from NOAA and the National Weather Service place Seattle’s high near 60°F on September 13 amid persistent rain, full cloud cover, and southerly flow that limits daytime warming. This keeps readings well below the 71°F seasonal average and aligns with model consensus showing little potential for clearing or stronger onshore winds that could push temperatures higher. Recent observations confirm morning readings in the mid-50s with steady precipitation, reinforcing the narrow range around 60–61°F that dominates market-implied odds at 51 percent. Traders appear to weight the stable synoptic pattern and limited forecast spread more heavily than historical variability for this date.
