Recent forecasts from the Servicio Meteorológico Nacional and numerical models indicate a September 7 high near 22–23°C in Mexico City, aligning with the market's heaviest trading on those outcomes. The city's 2,240-meter elevation and peak rainy-season cloud cover typically cap daytime heating around the 23°C September average, while scattered showers and easterly winds further moderate temperatures. Recent observations show persistent cloudiness and precipitation on September 6 suppressing maxima near 23–24°C, with similar conditions expected to limit upside risk to 24°C or higher. Traders appear to weigh these stable atmospheric patterns against any potential model shifts in moisture or insolation before resolution.
