Incumbent Republican Michael Rulli, who won his party's May 2026 primary by a wide margin, faces Democrat Elizabeth Kirtley in the November general election for Ohio's 6th congressional district. The seat covers Appalachian Ohio and the Mahoning Valley, areas with consistent Republican voting patterns that delivered Rulli a 66.7% margin in 2024 under the post-2025 redrawn map. Trader consensus at 93.5% for Republicans reflects the district's structural lean, Rulli's incumbency and fundraising edge, and the absence of competitive polling shifts or major campaign developments since the primaries. A Democratic victory would require an unusually strong national midterm environment for the party, substantial erosion in Rulli's support, or unforeseen turnout changes among key voting blocs.
