PL leads trader consensus at 84.5% for most seats in Brazil’s October 4, 2026, Senate election, which contests 54 of 81 seats under first-past-the-post rules in each state. The party’s strong standing stems from its alignment with the right-wing base, aggressive candidate recruitment, and coattails from Flávio Bolsonaro’s presidential bid on the PL ticket, which polls show competitive with incumbent Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Current Senate composition and state-level polling trends favor PL gains across multiple regions, while MDB and smaller parties trail due to more fragmented support and weaker national momentum. No major recent shifts have altered this positioning in the weeks before voting.
