This market will resolve according to the winner of the Democratic Primary for United States Senator from Michigan. If no 2026 Michigan Democratic Senate Primary takes place, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be the first announcement of the results from the Michigan Democratic party, however an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may suffice.Abdul El-Sayed secured the Democratic nomination for Michigan's open U.S. Senate seat in the August 4, 2026 primary, driving the market's 100% consensus on his victory. Late polls showed him leading Haley Stevens by double digits after Mallory McMorrow suspended her campaign in early July while remaining on the ballot; El-Sayed's support among progressive voters, combined with strong grassroots organization and endorsements from labor and health policy networks, offset Stevens' advantages in fundraising and an endorsement from retiring Senator Gary Peters. The race featured record outside spending exceeding $70 million. Remaining uncertainty is minimal given the completed vote count and projections, though any unresolved ballot challenges or certification delays could theoretically prompt minor adjustments before final resolution.
