Recent Berlin polling averages place the CDU at 18–20% and the Greens at 16–18%, producing a consistent though narrow lead for the CDU in direct head-to-head comparisons. The CDU’s replacement of its lead candidate with Stefan Evers in July produced modest gains that have held in subsequent surveys from INSA, Infratest dimap, and Forsa. The Greens have remained essentially flat amid stable national trends for the party and no major local policy breakthroughs or scandals in the final weeks before the 20 September vote. With five weeks remaining and turnout patterns historically favoring the CDU’s base, traders assign the CDU a high probability of finishing ahead of the Greens on election night.
