National Weather Service forecasts for Atlanta on September 5 project a daily high near 98°F under sunny skies with light winds, supported by a heat advisory and heat index values reaching the low to mid-100s amid elevated humidity. This aligns with recent model consensus and ongoing late-summer warmth, pushing trader-implied odds toward the 98-99°F bin at 51.5% while the 96-97°F outcome holds 35%. Afternoon thunderstorm chances remain low at 20% or less, limiting cooling potential, though any earlier cloud cover or measurement at official stations like Hartsfield-Jackson could shift final readings within the upper-90s range. Historical September averages near 86°F underscore the anomalous warmth driving current positioning.
