Alberto Núñez Feijóo leads the market at 80% as the frontrunner for Spain’s next prime minister, reflecting consistent polling advantages for his People’s Party ahead of the general election due by August 2027. Recent surveys show the PP maintaining a narrow lead over the PSOE, supported by voter concerns over the current minority government’s stability amid ongoing corruption investigations and coalition tensions. Pedro Sánchez’s lower 9% pricing aligns with reports of declining support for his administration, including setbacks in regional contests and legislative gridlock. Lower odds for figures such as Santiago Abascal and Isabel Díaz Ayuso track their parties’ secondary positions in national vote intention data, while the broad distribution across other names captures uncertainty over potential coalition negotiations or leadership shifts before the vote.

To count for resolution, the individual must receive a vote of confidence from the Congress of Deputies and be formally sworn-in, resulting in the official formation of a new government. Any interim or caretaker Prime Minister who does not receive a parliamentary vote of confidence will not count toward the resolution of this market.
If no such Prime Minister takes office by March 31, 2028, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Spain; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
