Forecast models from NOAA and GFS consensus point to an overnight low of 69–71°F in New York City on September 17, driven by persistent southerly flow, high humidity near 80%, and extensive cloud cover that limits radiational cooling. These conditions align with the market's leading 70–71°F (49%) and 72–73°F (38%) bins, reflecting trader assessment of Central Park and LaGuardia station data. The pattern deviates from the 1991–2020 September 17 average low of 61°F, as a warm air mass holds minimums several degrees above climatology. With resolution dependent on official daily minimum readings, any late-evening clearing could nudge temperatures slightly lower, though current guidance shows limited downside risk.
