Recent National Weather Service guidance and model consensus point to a high in the low 80s for New York City on September 17, driven by southerly flow advecting warmer, humid air under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with limited shower chances. This setup aligns with climatological late-summer norms near 76°F while exceeding recent cooler days, positioning the 80–81°F and 82–83°F bins as market leaders at 45% and 31.5% implied probability. Trader sentiment incorporates minor forecast spread around exact peak timing and urban heat effects, keeping lower or higher bins subdued pending final observational data from Central Park.
