This market will resolve to “Yes” if Tesla releases a humanoid, bipedal robot (such as Optimus) by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. A qualifying product is a humanoid, bipedal robot intended for consumer use and newly introduced. Non-humanoid robotics, accessories, internal factory deployments, employee-only programs, and partner/enterprise pilots do not qualify. Announcements, unveilings, demos, or waitlists with “register interest” pages without payment do not suffice. Availability in any region counts if it is open to the general public. As of mid-July, installation was still underway and initial units will support internal training data collection rather than customer shipments, per Q2 earnings commentary. High-volume manufacturing is slated for summer 2027 at a new Giga Texas facility, while conditional public sales remain guided toward late 2027 once reliability and safety benchmarks are met. Traders weigh these timelines against Musk's track record of slippage, ongoing AI training progress using Tesla's self-driving stack, and competition from Figure and Agility Robotics deployments, with upcoming earnings calls and any factory demonstrations as key near-term catalysts.
