The Pentagon's June 2026 update to the Section 1260H Chinese Military Companies list added 65 entities, including major tech and AI players like Alibaba, Baidu, BYD, NIO, Unitree Robotics, RoboSense, and WuXi AppTec, expanding the roster to 188 amid concerns over military-civil fusion in semiconductors, robotics, EVs, and cloud infrastructure. This followed 2025 designations of Tencent and others, plus congressional pushes for firms like DeepSeek. Trader sentiment reflects ongoing U.S. policy focus on restricting DoD procurement from listed entities, with potential for further additions before the June 2027 cutoff driven by administration priorities, supply-chain scrutiny, and bilateral trade dynamics.
