Collin County remains a focal point in the competitive 2026 Texas U.S. Senate race, where suburban growth and shifting voter coalitions keep the outcome uncertain between Democratic nominee James Talarico and Republican Ken Paxton. Talarico has targeted the county with rallies and appeals to independents and moderates, leveraging his fundraising edge and broader polling momentum in a race rated toss-up or lean Republican by forecasters. Paxton’s long-standing ties to the area, where he began his political career, are offset by ongoing scrutiny over his voting address and past legal matters. Minor candidates and undecided blocs further fragment preferences ahead of November 3, with separation likely hinging on turnout among Hispanic and independent voters plus any late shifts in campaign spending or endorsements.

The nominees of the Democratic and Republican parties are named in the contract for the convenience of traders. In the event that any named candidate is replaced as the nominee of their respective party prior to election day, the name in the contract will be updated and the market will resolve based on the replacement nominee of the party.
If the results of the election in the specified county are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, this market will resolve to "Other."
This market will resolve based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the government of Texas, including the Office of the Secretary of State and the government of Collin County.
